The Banqer Journey Explained: An Overview of Banqer Days 1-5

As students navigate the Banqer High Senior platform, they unlock new topics and activities. Here is an overview of what topics are covered during the first five Banqer Days.

How Progress Works

To progress through Banqer Days, students must complete the required daily activities. These are clearly visible in two locations:

  • Top Navigation Bar

  • Relevant Section on the Dashboard

Some days also include optional activities. While these do not block progress if left incomplete, they are valuable for achieving a comprehensive understanding of the content and earning platform-specific achievements.

Topics Covered in the First 'Banqer Week' (Banqer Days 1-5)

Set Up

Before diving into Banqer High Senior topics, students must set up their accounts:

  • Create an Account: Follow the teacher’s invitation link.

  • Complete a Student Survey: Upon logging in, students answer a survey to personalize their experience and unlock platform topics.

Bank Accounts

Students explore banking basics:

  • Kick-off Quiz: A five-question quiz assesses students' initial understanding of concepts chosen by the student, with three optional follow-up quizzes available and a final 5 question post-quiz to asses learning growth.

  • Opening Accounts: Learn to create bank accounts and perform transactions between them.

  • Fees and Interest Rates: Understand account-related costs and benefits.

  • Future Learning: Later in the program, students will expand on this by exploring credit cards, loans, and Buy-Now-Pay-Later services.

Jobs

Students experience job market participation and workplace skills:

  • Kick-off Quiz: A five-question quiz assesses students' initial understanding of concepts chosen by the student, with three optional follow-up quizzes available and a final 5 question post-quiz to asses learning growth.

  • Job Applications: Create a professional overview, apply for a job, and answer interview questions.

  • Daily Check-Ins: Continue checking into their job on subsequent Banqer Days to work toward promotions.

  • Workplace Skills: Build communication, problem-solving, and time-management skills.

Superannuation

Students begin understanding retirement savings:

  • Kick-off Quiz: A five-question quiz assesses students' initial understanding of concepts chosen by the student, with three optional follow-up quizzes available and a final 5 question post-quiz to asses learning growth.

  • Choosing a Fund: Select a superannuation provider and fund.

  • Growth Over Time: Track and grow their fund through personal and employer contributions.

Credit and Debit

Students explore credit and debit card options:

  • Kick-off Quiz: A five-question quiz assesses students' initial understanding of concepts chosen by the student, with three optional follow-up quizzes available and a final 5 question post-quiz to asses learning growth.

  • Card Options: Compare credit and debit cards, including fees, credit limits, and interest rates.
