Topic-specific Journey Steps.

By the time a student reaches Banqer Day 16 or beyond, all topics will be unlocked for them on the Banqer High Senior platform. Students will still have specific journey steps for each topic to complete. These can be seen on the teacher-side from the Student Overview page or on the student-side via the appropriate topic page.

Separate to the specific activities in a given topic here is a list of the ongoing activities that students will have to keep them learning and engaged from here on out:

Daily Check-ins: Jobs and Higher Education

  • Jobs: Students are required to check in to their job each day to progress to the next Banqer Day. Each check-in contributes to their career development by advancing them toward promotions, which offer pay increases and enhance workplace skills reflected in their Curriculum Vitae (CV). This daily interaction helps reinforce the importance of consistent effort in achieving long-term career goals.

  • Higher Education (Optional): For students pursuing Higher Education, daily check-ins allow them to progress through their chosen courses. Progression though these courses further contributes to their workplace skills in their CV, helping them build a stronger foundation for their future careers. This optional feature emphasizes the value of balancing work and study commitments.

Wellbeing Events and Activities

  • The Wellbeing feature plays a pivotal role in encouraging students to monitor and maintain their mental and physical wellbeing. Students can adjust their decisions to improve their wellbeing, fostering awareness of how lifestyle choices impact overall health.

  • Randomized events tied to wellbeing thresholds add a layer of realism to the program. If a student’s physical or mental wellbeing drops too low, they will encounter consequences, prompting thoughtful reflection and action to address these issues.

Random Events

  • Students will encounter a variety of random events throughout their time on the platform. These events simulate real-life scenarios, presenting choices that can lead to positive or negative outcomes based on their decisions.

  • Events are interconnected with various platform topics, ensuring students apply their knowledge in diverse and dynamic contexts. This feature reinforces critical thinking and decision-making skills.

Investing

  • The investing topic remains active and current, allowing students to engage with the stock market throughout the program. Students can buy, sell, and manage shares and ETFs, and even participate in IPOs.

  • The stock market updates every Banqer Day, presenting fresh opportunities and challenges. Additionally, random economic events are introduced to encourage students to analyze and adapt their strategies, building a deeper understanding of market dynamics and risk management.

Budgeting

  • Weekly budget reviews prompt students to evaluate their financial plans and make adjustments where necessary. This regular practice reinforces the importance of adaptive financial planning and prepares students to handle real-world financial responsibilities.

Post-Quiz Check-ins

  • After four Banqer Weeks of engaging with a specific topic, students can attempt a post-quiz to assess their knowledge growth. These quizzes provide valuable feedback on their progress and deepen their understanding of the subject matter.

  • The post-quizzes also serve as a reflective tool, allowing students to identify areas where they have improved and where further focus might be needed.

Achievements

  • Students can track their progress through Achievements, which are milestones aligned with Learning Outcomes on the teacher’s side. Achievements are displayed on the student dashboard, providing a clear and motivating roadmap for continued success.

  • Working towards these goals not only keeps students engaged but also gives them a sense of accomplishment as they advance through the platform.
